M2M (machine-to-machine) from Yettel provides solutions for collecting, sending and transmitting information through a dedicated data SIM that carries data and SMS, without voice services. The technology can be used in every sector of the economy where two devices need a connection to exchange information.
Shared SMS
One shared SMS bundle across every card
Shared SMS lets every mobile number in a group, or numbers selected specifically for the purpose, draw on one shared SMS bundle. It was built for Yettel customers who would rather not pay for each number separately, but for one shared bundle.

A technical solution to your requirements
When you request the service, a technical solution is drawn up for you describing how it will work and how each of your requirements will be met. You also receive data SIM cards with a set mobile internet bundle and specific settings.
Data Shared
A shared pool of megabytes across your cards
Data Shared from Yettel makes your cards easier to administer and control, because you do not have to choose a different subscription plan for each one, and the included MB are used to the full.
- Your company’s data SIM cards are brought onto one invoice and share access to a single, larger pool of megabytes.
- Each card uses MB according to its own needs within the month, and if its usage varies, the other numbers in the group take up the shared allowance.
- Data Shared comes in bundles of 1,000 MB, 2,500 MB, 5,000 MB, 10,000 MB, 20,000 MB and 30,000 MB.
Private APN
Isolated, protected traffic
A private APN (Access Point Name) is an integrated solution that lets you isolate and protect your mobile internet traffic from other users on the Yettel network. The mobile devices use particular GPRS settings, a private APN and a private address space to communicate with a central server.
Shared SMS terms
- The SMS in the bundle can only be sent to mobile numbers on the Yettel network.
- The service can be activated on M2M SIM cards.
- The bundle includes the stated number of text messages, for shared use across the customer’s SIM cards.
- Unused messages do not carry over to the following month.
- The customer may change the chosen bundle once within a month; the change takes effect within 7 calendar days of the request being submitted.
- When the bundle changes, unused messages do not carry over to the new one.

Questions and answers
Yettel configures a private APN with a private address space (VRF) and static IP addresses from a range agreed in advance. This configuration isolates your mobile devices’ traffic from other Yettel users, while still allowing the devices and the server to communicate within the private APN.
